New Zealand Attempting To Save The Hoiho
A plan has been revealed that New Zealand is attempting to save the Yellow-Eyed (Hoiho) penguin.
The announcement was made by the Conservation Minister Eugenie Sage. Following the announcement, she released a draft strategy to restore the yellow-eyed population. The penguins have had a series of poor breeding seasons which have affected the numbers. The new plan focuses on the pressure the penguins are facing, such as humans activities, climate change and predators.
